Description
'Journeys of the Inner Songbird' is a reflection of a life once lived on earth by a soul who loved and fought for those things he believed in, in concert with his traditions and views. Silver Fox of the Crow people (Water Wolf), who lived in 3 Forks, Montana, many hundreds of years ago, tells us of his life living in balance and harmony with nature, and with Creator. He brings us into sharp focus with his beautiful mind and continued rise in consciousness in his unique journey with his ancestors, still gathering and creating their pathway of knowledge. This is a book of simplicity and spirituality seldom matched. It transports you back in time and brings you full circle to now. It is just the beginning in how we can identify his words resonating within us.
Synopsis
Within the first part of this journey Silver Fox describes his life encounters, his family and ways of life including how others regarded his tribe. He then becomes reflective about situations he has witnessed in other people, both since his passing and also with others he knew. He also became reflective of the natures we had all aspired to make of our own lives and gently tries to nudge us into understand some of the more precious ways we can consider events in our lives including the reasons for their unfoldment. This comes with pen and ink drawings and the work was actually the first coming from spirit through this group of interaction which was brought about in séance conditions at our home circle. The description of his homelands where he lived and described were completely accurate as we saw on visiting where he was born at the source of the great Missouri river. We remain indebted to Long Standing Bear Chief for his visionary wisdom.
Reviews
Reviews 1:Review/excerpt: My personal experiences tell me that spirit talking is a powerful and mind opening event. And it is a powerful thing to realize that every man, woman and child is capable of it as well because it is an innate part of their very being. Once we realize this fact we can know happiness and real life long health – mentally and otherwise. Life long health comes to those who know they are sacred beings in their own right. There is boundless joy in knowing that one can help themselves and others in a spiritual way.
As if to demonstrate to me the power of spirits and their ability to manifest themselves in different ways I have come to know them, for myself and through others. The most recent demonstration came to me through an Englishman and his wife. Their names are Mick and Sylvie Avery of Bristol, England, or as they call it, the U.K. They visited me in my homeland of the Blackfoot Nation in the past summer 2003-5 and then again in 2007. I had been communicating with them via telephone and e-mail for some time before our 1st meeting in person.
Mick is the person through whom a spirit named Silver Fox manifests himself. Silver Fox is an Indian who lived in the ancient past. I do not know exactly when he lived because I never asked. I too have only begun to know Silver Fox myself. There is a lot I have to learn about Indians talking through Englishman but I am willing to learn. I can only tell you there are white people who talk through Indians, dead and alive, so it is not an unusual phenomenon for me to understand and accept that Indians can talk through Englishman.
And, as I must admit, as I get older I am becoming less the bigot as I have come to learn and listen to the spirit within me and others.
In the pages in this book I invite you to get to know and understand different aspects of the human ability to talk with spirits for themselves and others. In this case Mick Avery is what is called a medium, in that he is used to give voice to a spirit entity that has something to say to us in this life. I can tell you that Silver Fox is worth listening to, whether or not you believe in spirits or mediums, because his talk is about things that make a whole lot of sense and gives added meaning to life for us. In the Indian way every person’s responsibility is to listen and then decide for themselves what they wish to accept or not. No one need be killed or chastised based upon what they have to say or believe, as in the way it has been done to us by those who call themselves civilized and Christian. As the publisher I offer to the reader the voice of Silver Fox and what he says through another person and the good offered to all of us. With the publication of this book we at Spirit Talk Press are starting a new and independent path to the spirits of the universe who talk to and through the people of this earth. This is the Indian way. We need to hear them. We need to grow spiritually. We invite them to talk to us.
